RuralNet Associates Limited has considerable experience in various development disciplines. Its primary focus is facilitating sustained improvement in livelihoods of the country’s population with a bias towards those in rural Zambia. Among other things, this is largely done through: (i) the company’s involvement in the implementation of interventions that are targeted at directly improving the livelihoods of the country’s poor and disadvantaged; (ii) provision of key performance indicators of various development programs and initiatives going on in the country through the provision of monitoring and evaluation services.
Unemployment tops the list of problems facing the nation, according to the most recent Afrobarometer survey. This is followed by infrastructure, and then by farming/agriculture. Education and health take the fourth and fifth positions, respectively. Farming and agriculture was named the biggest problem by the highest number of people in 2009, when unemployment ranked second.
