Training / Capacity Building – Mulungushi University
Conducting “Hands-on Monitoring and Evaluation Training” in partnership with Mulungushi University. The course content includes: (i) What should M&E focus on?; (ii) Introduction to the Logical Framework; (iii) Operationalization of an M&E System/Basic Elements of an M&E System; (iv) Evaluations and their types; (v) Data collection methods; (vi) Designing quantitative and qualitative data collection instruments; (vii) Quantitative and Qualitative Data Analysis; (viii) Mobile and paper-based data collection field practical work and (ix) Report writing. To date, several courses have been conducted. Participants have been drawn from various backgrounds and institutions including: Bank of Zambia (BoZ); Standard Chartered Bank; Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA); Road Development Authority (RDA); Irish Aid; Ministry of Education; Zambia Police (Victim Support Unit); Society for Family Health and other NGOs, Consulting firms, Government institutions and the Private sector.

Africa Development Bank Domestication of Managing for Development Results (MfDR) in Zambia. The AfCoP project aims to support the African Community of Practice for Managing for Development Results (AfCoP-MfDR) to mainstream MfDR into country policies and strategies. It also enhances the capacity of the Regional Economic Communities and their member states to accelerate the implementation of regional policies and programs by using the MfDR approach, in order to promote regional integration. RuralNet Associates Ltd is responsible for the project’s implementation in Zambia.

The LEGO Foundation Playful Parenting Implementation Research aims to generate evidence on scaling up approaches to integrate play in parenting for children ages 0-3. It’s objectives are: (a) Complement and build upon the program MEL efforts of UNICEF/Zambia by carrying out data collection in parallel on workforce, caregivers, and system actors ; (b) Support in country coordination as it pertains to data collection with UNICEF/Zambia, the local country investigator, and other key stakeholders as needed; (c) Mobilize and support training of enumerators for in country data collection efforts, and; (d) Manage overall quality assurance and safeguarding of data collected in the field.

Community Justice Climate – The Scottish Government Climate Just Communities (CJC) programme is a flagship programme under the new round of the Climate Justice Fund and will implement community-led projects in Malawi, Rwanda and Zambia. The purpose of CJC is to develop and deliver, through a participatory approach, a series of interventions that build inclusive and climate change resilient communities. CJC will achieve this by enabling local communities in Malawi, Zambia and Rwanda to identify local priorities linked to the material and social impacts of climate change.

Member of the Technical Research Assurance Team for Zambia Economic Advocacy Team (ZEAP). This DFID funded programme was launched in September 2013 with the aim of strengthening the research capacity of Zambia’s economic think tanks. The main task of TRT is to review studies carried out by selected think tanks and score them according to a pre-agreed scoring system.
